On July 7, 1996, Steve Kelley, sports columnist for The Seattle Times, wrote about Dave Anderson's pasture golf course. Island Greens is located in Clinton, Washington. The article was titled:  A passion for golf turns a pasture into fairways.

Aptly named, Sheep Pasture Golf Course in Lillooet, British Columbia is a combination of golf course and working sheep ranch.

It's not PastureGolf, in fact it's not golf at all, it's polo. Not equine polo or water polo, either. We're talking elephant polo here and we have no idea if the sport's inventor, James Manclark, is any relation to Pasture Golf's Bruce Manclark, but the description of him by his friend in this story, as "a bit of a nut case" leads us to believe that they have to be related. Harry Ward, a golf historian from Lanark in Scotland, sent us notice of the revival of Arbory Brae Golf Course, a nine hole first laid out in 1892 by former open champ Willie Fernie of Troon.
